Dirt Drag Rules

All Classes must have at least three trucks

Open

  1. No nitro methane.

  2. Must have window net or arm restraint if doors are removed.

  3. Racing seat required.

  4. Minimum 8pt cage required.

  5. Must have functional brakes.

  6. DOT Helmet, neck restraint, fire suit, gloves, racing seat belts, and fire extinguisher required (must be within drivers reach).

  7. Must have rear battery disconnect.

  8. If running a trans brake must have SFI approved transmission case, shield, or blanket.

  9. If fuel cell is in engine compartment area, then a fire suppression system with 2 nozzlesin engine compartment and one in the driver’s compartment is recommended.

4-WHEEL MOD

Engine:

  1. All motor class single, multi-carbs, and injection allowed

  2. Sheet-metal & cast intakes allowed

  3. Any style heads allowed

  4. No power adders allowed

  5. No 5.0 “ bore and up blocks

  6. No billet blocks

  7. Any race fuel allowed

  8. No nitro methane

Chassis:

  1. Minimum weight 3000lbs

  2. 44” cuts and below allowed

  3. Must have truck, jeep, bronco, blazer body

  4. Any Transmission allowed

  5. Any safe transfer cases, open chain drives, and drop boxes allowed

  6. 4-wheel brakes required

  7. Any safe chassis: OEM, 2×3, round tubing, leaf spring, 3&4 links, coil overs, etc. Allowed

  8. No rear engine chassis

Safety:

  1. All general safety rules apply

PRO STREET

Engine:

  1. 10.7” Maximum Deck Height

  2. No sheet metal intakes

  3. No billet intakes

  4. No top plates

  5. No hemi heads or semi heads

  6. Big block Chevy 12 degree and up only

  7. No aluminum blocks or billet blocks (Exception: Mopar cast aluminum only)

  8. No 5.0” bore space or up blocks allowed

  9. Naturally aspirated engines only

  10. Single carb only

  11. No stretched carbs

  12. No power adders

  13. No Nitro Methane

  14. Race fuel only

  15. No alcohol

Chassis/Tires/Suspension:

  1. Minimum weight 3600 lbs big block

  2. Minimum weight 3400lbs small block

  3. 44” Cuts and below

  4. Big blocks in full-size truck and frame only

  5. No El Caminos/Ranchers or cars

  6. Must have factory frame

  7. No main frame modification

  8. No back-halves/dragster rear clips

  9. No eliminating frame function

  10. Rear 3&4 links allowed

  11. Front end in factory location (can’t be extended more than 2”)

  12. No open chain drives allowed

  13. Must have drive shaft loops & U-joint guards

Safety:

  1. All general safety rules apply

  2. If running a trans brake must have SFI approved transmission case, shield, or blanket

  3. If vehicle does not have doors must have window or arm restraints

  4. Racing seat is required

  5. Must have four-wheel functional brakes

  6. DOT helmet, neck restraint, fire suit, gloves, racing seat belts, and fire extinguisher (must be within drivers reach) required

  7. Must have rear battery Disconnect

  8. If fuel cell is in engine compartment, then a fire suppression system with 2 nozzles in engine compartment and one in the driver’s compartment is recommended

Outlaw Street

Engine:

  1. Naturally Aspirated gasoline motors with Stock OEM production cast iron cylinder heads and blocks. Big blocks in full size only

  2. Naturally aspirated gasoline motors with steel production deck height blocks and any conventional style heads. Big blocks in full size only

  3. No tunnel ram or sheet metal intakes allowed

  4. Single 4150 style carburetors only

  5. BIG BLOCKS MUST pull 15” of vacuum at 1000 RPM’s

  6. SMALL BLOCKS MUST pull 13” of vacuum at 1000 RPM’s

  7. No vacuum pumps

  8. No radiator relocation (must be in front of engine

Tires/Suspension:

  1. 3800 lbs minimum weight

  2. tires must be uncut DOT up to 39.5”

  3. Factory style suspension for the make and model (minimum of three full steel leaf in the rear, and two in front)

  4. Ladder bars with floaters are permitted on rear only

  5. No aftermarket transfer cases, or chain drives allowed

  6. No dana 30 front ends in full size trucks

Frame/Body:

  1. Must have unmodified steel or OEM fiberglass body panels and frame. (aftermarket fiberglass hoods allowed)(Bed Floor may be replaced with materials other than steel)

  2. Must retain all major factory interior and exterior panels (inner fenders, doors, dash, bed fenders, bed steps etc.)

  3. Must have OEM safety windshield

  4. Trimming for tire clearance only

Safety:

  1. Minimum of 6pt cage required if vehicle runs faster than 3.5 seconds

  2. If running a trans brake must have SFI approved transmission case, shield, or blanket

  3. Must have four-wheel functional brakes

  4. DOT Helmet and seat belt required

  5. Fire suit not required but recommended

  6. Fire extinguisher required (must be within drivers reach)

  7. Must have rear battery disconnect

  8. If fuel cell is in engine compartment, then a fire suppression system with two nozzles in engine compartment and one in the driver’s compartment is recommended

Competition Street

Engine:

  1. Naturally aspirated gasoline motors with Stock OEM production cast iron cylinder heads and blocks

  2. No aftermarket ignitions with adjustable timing controller or electronic timing boxes, must be mounted in a visable location

  3. No tall deck blocks allowed

  4. No tunnel ram or sheet metal intakes allowed

  5. Single 4150 style carburetors only

  6. Vehicle must have been available as a V8 to run V8

  7. BIG BLOCKS MUST pull 17” of vacuum at 1000 RPM’s

  8. SMALL BLOCKS MUST pull 10” of vacuum at 1000 RPM’s

  9. No vacuum pumps allowed

  10. radiator must be in stock location

  11. Engine must be in stock location with stock OEM mounting previsions

Drivetrain/Tires and Suspension:

  1. Tires must be uncut DOT 38.5” (tires must be same height or equivalent)

  2. Factory style suspension for the make and model (minimum of three full steel leaf in the rear and two in the front

  3. Axels must match make and model

  4. No trans brakes allowed

  5. No powerglide’s

  6. No aftermarket transfer cases, or chain drives allowed

  7. No ladder bars

Frame and Body:

  1. Must have all requirements as street legal truck (lights, dash, door panels, bumper, etc.)

  2. Racing seats allowed but must retain seating for two with safety harnesses for two

  3. Battery must be in the factory location

  4. Fuel cell mounted in the bed or factory fuel tank required

  5. Must have unmodified steel or OEM fiberglass body panels and frame. (aftermarket fiberglass hoods allowed)

  6. Trimming for tire clearance only

Safety:

  1. Minimum 6pt cage required if vehicle runs faster than 3.5 seconds

  2. Must have four-wheel functional brakes

  3. DOT helmet and seatbelts required

  4. Fire suit not required but recommended

  5. Fire extinguisher requi(must be within drivers reach)

Pure Street (100% pay-back)

Engine:

  1. No diesel engines allowed.

  2. Stock factory OEM production engine blocks and heads.

  3. Big blocks in 3/4 ton and up only (engine must match make of body).

  4. NO aluminum heads other than factory installed.

  5. No aftermarket ignitions.

  6. No engine swaps.

  7. Single factory or OEM style carburetor, must have vacuum secondaries, and choke or factory EFI.

  8. No power adders.

  9. Must have full functional street legal exhaust.

  10. Must have factory engine accessories belt driven by crankshaft.

  11. Engines must pull 18” of vacuum at 1000 RPMs.

Drivetrain/Tires/Suspension:

  1. All tires must be DOT approved 38.5” Tall or smaller.

  2. No stagging tires (width/height).

  3. No boggers.

  4. No coil springs, adjustable or racing style shocks.

  5. No trans brakes or staging devices.

  6. No air or electric shifters.

  7. No aftermarket transfer cases or chain drives.

Frame and Body:

  1. Must have unmodified matching body and frame.

  2. No cutting or gutting of body or frame allowed.

  3. Must be street legal with all required street equipment (bumpers, working lights, wipers, etc.).

  4. Must retain all factory interior and exterior components (glass, dash, heater controls, instrument panels, etc.

  5. No fiberglass body panels unless factory produced.

  6. No fuel cells.

  7. Battery MUST be in stock location.

  8. Full functioning flat beds allowed.

Safety:

  1. Helmet and seat belts required.

Consistency (100% pay-back)

  1. $25.00 Entry Fee.

  2. Each driver gets two passes only.

  3. The driver with the most consistent time wins.

Mud Bogs Rules

All Class must have a minimum of 3 truck entries to have the class. Please see our WVDD General Rules for racer safety, vehicle safety, and pay structures.

“A” Class: (1005 Pay-back):

  1. Daily driver (must have current license and insurance).

  2. No purpose-built race trucks.

  3. No antique or classic tags.

  4. Tech Official has final say.

“B” Class: (100% Pay-back):

  1. Must meet Pure Street Speed pit Rules (with exception of tire size).

  2. 0-36” DOT (No boggers).

“C” Class:

  1. 0-38.5” DOT (no power adders, no nitro methane).

  2. Big Blocks in 3/4 ton or heavier.

  3. Small blocks 10” vacuum, Big blocks 17” vacuum.

“D” Class:

  1. 0-39.5” DOT 15” vacuum Big Block, 13” Small Block, (No power adders, no nitro methane)

“E” Class:

  1. 0-38.5” DOT, (no power adders, no nitro methane).

“F” Class:

  1. 0-44” DOT, (no power adders, no nitro methane).

“G” Class:

  1. Cut/Tractor tires allowed (if running a tractor tire you will run last in the class due to safety concerns)

  2. No power adders, no nitro methane

“H” Class:

  1. Open (no nitro methane).

“Old School” Class:

  1. 39” and up (uncut DOT on both front and rear, no race-built trucks will be permitted)
