The mission of the Jackson County Fair Queen Pageant is to award scholarships, thereby helping young women achieve their educational goals. To empower young women with life skills including interviewing and public speaking and to encourage the spirit of volunteerism and charity work.

The Jackson County Junior Fair has been crowning Queens since 1969 when Debbie Jones took home the first title! The county pageant serves as the feeder competition leading to the West Virginia State Fair Pageant.
